Stoke want Adams for £5m but Newcastle should join the hunt

, Stoke City are keen on signing Che Adams from Birmingham City.

Adams has been in fine form for Birmingham and Stoke are considering a £5m January move.

Gary Rowett, manager of Stoke, brought Adams to Birmingham and wants a reunion with him.

But this is exactly the type of deal Newcastle United should be targeting to bolster their attacking options.

At £5m, this is a bargain and Newcastle’s Premier League status should be enough to swing the momentum in their favour.

Adams is one of the brightest young prospects in England and he is back to his best again.

The 22-year-old has netted eight goals already this season, making him one of the leading scorers in the Championship.

The versatile youngster is also comfortable playing on either wing, up front or as a number 10, making him a useful squad option for Rafa Benitez.

And with Newcastle struggling for goals, surely Adams could add competition up front in the short-term and be the long-term solution in attack.

The ex-England under-20 international may be young but he has nearly 150 senior appearances to his name.

Adams has the perfect blend of youth and experience and he has the potential to become a top Premier League player one day.

At £5m, this is definitely a deal Newcastle should consider.
