Stoke fans hail on-loan Tottenham attacker Jack Clarke for his performance

On-loan Tottenham star Jack Clarke completed 90 minutes on Saturday for Stoke City – and some Stoke fans on Twitter were left raving about the youngster’s display.

The 20-year-old attacker was shipped out on loan by Spurs in January, as he joined Championship club Stoke.

Clarke played in Stoke’s 2-0 victory over Wycombe Wanderers yesterday in a Championship league fixture, which leaves them 10th in the table.

The tricky winger picked up an assist with his cross into the box, as he completed the full game for the first time since his temporary loan switch.

He had featured just three times in the Spurs first-team during the first half of the season, which is why Jose Mourinho’s side decided to ship him out on loan in search of regular football.

The English wide player is quick, skilful and direct with his play, but he’s still relatively inexperienced at senior level and the Championship is a great place for him to develop physically and mentally.

He’s had some poor recent history in really establishing himself in a side out on loan.

Fortunately, his move to Stoke looks a match made in heaven and he can add some extra dynamism on the wings for them.

A selection of Stoke supporters on social media were delighted with what they saw from the Spurs youngster on the weekend, insisting that he’s a quality rising talent.
