Stoke City manager Nathan Jones discusses future of Aston Villa target
Stoke City ♏manager Nathan Jones has urged Aston Villa and any other interested parties to make an offer for Jack Butland, as he continues to grow impatient at speculation surrounding the England 𝔉stopper.
The 26-year-old goalkeeper has been constantly linked with a move to the Premier League, and Aston Villa are said👍 to be the club leading the way for the £20million-rated goalkeeper this summer.
last week that Villa are still interested in f𒆙ormer Birmingham City loanee Butland, despite his tall asking price. Now, Jones has given a brutally honest verdict on his future.

He claims that the rumours are affecting Butland, and has urged those🐠 that are interested to hurry up and make an offer if they are keen – or move on.
“We don’t want Jack to go. Jack’s a Premier League goalkeeper, no two ways about it,” “If th𝕴ere is any suit🌌or for Jack Butland, then they have to pay the value. This is not a club that is desperate to sell or needs to sell.
“If anyone would like him, there’s a value on him. Jack knows that, we know that. There’s been a lot of speculation, which is not good for the player, so if anyone is going to, come and🔯 do it. If not, then move on so we can settle down.”
TBR’s view – Villa need Butland, and Butland needs Villa
It is the ideal move for all parties involved. Stoke still receive a premium price for a goalkeeper that has not been in the Pre🐼mier League for a year. They have a replacement at the club, and can spend the money elsewhere.
For Villa, the🐎y are bringing in proven Premier League quality. They need a keeper, with Lovre Kalinic expected to leave. Orjan Nyland has much to prove, while Jed Steer is not seen as the long-term solution.
For Butland, he needs a move back to the Premier League. Prior to the World Cup, he was in direct competition with Jordan Pickford. Now, the latter is Engla𝔉nd’s number one without hesitation. He needs to be in the top flight.
