‘Still to come’: Journalist claims Leeds are now looking to sign player who’ll make people ‘scared’
Leeds United’s replacement for Raphinha is “still to come” this summer, according to journalist Dean Jones.
The Raphinha transfer saga is finally at an end as the player to swap Elland Road for Barcelona’s Camp Nou.
Leeds have also sold Kalvin Phillips this summer, but Jesse Marsch has brought in a number of exciting players too.

The Whites have signed Brenden Aaronson, Rasmus Kristensen, Marc Roca, Tyler Adams, Darko Gyabi and Luis Sinisterra.
It’s unclear at this stage whether Sinisterra is a direct replacement for Raphinha.
Though both players can play on either flank, Raphinha has mostly played on the right, while Sinisterra has largely featured on the left.
In addition, Raphinha is left-footed, while the Leeds newcomer is right-footed.
Now, according to Jones, the Whites are actually still looking for a player to replace the Brazil international.
“They’ve made good additions, but the Raphinha replacement is still to come,” he wrote on .
“And that’s because they want a forward that’s going to make people sit up and take notice of them and be a little bit more scared of them, I guess.”
One potential replacement for Raphinha could be PSV Eindhoven’s Cody Gakpo, according to one report.
French outlet recently claimed that that Leeds are ‘very attentive to the situation’ of the 23-year-old.
While it’s a shame for Leeds to lose Raphinha and Phillips this summer, they’ve certainly done well to bring in new players.
Marsch worked wonders in helping the Whites survive in the Premier League last season. So it’ll be exciting to see how they can kick on in 2022-23.
