Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has predicted that Glen Kamara can become a “top player” if he continues to improve.
The midfielder was left out of the starting XI at the weekend in the Old Firm defeat to Celtic and was given a late cameo off the bench.
But he was back in the side on Wednesday night and completed 90 minutes in the comfortable victory over Hearts in the league.
Jermain Defoe, Connor Goldson and Scott Arfield all scored to give the Gers a win at Ibrox.
Gerrard was delighted with the contribution of Kamara in midweek against Hearts and feels there could still be a lot more to come from him.
“Kamara has been very consistent since he walked through the door. He’s going to continue to grow and improve,”

TBR’s View:
Kamara has played nine times for the Light Blues so far and has been a fairly regular starter despite his Old Firm omission.
The 23-year-old should be delighted to hear positive comments from the manager and it suggests he could be successful at Ibrox.
He is a Finland international that only cost £100,000 () to bring in from Dundee during January despite originally agreeing a pre-contract move to join in the summer.
Kamara usually break up play well and has a good reading of the game, but there is stiff competition in the Rangers midfield to nail down his spot.
