Steven Gerrard says Arteta has made two huge improvements at Arsenal
Aston Villa boss Steven Gerrard has praised Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta ahead of their Premier League meeting.
The Villans and the Gunners lock horns at Villa Park in today’s early Premier League kickoff.
Both Villa and Arsenal lost their top-flight fixtures last time out and will hope to quickly get back to winning ways.

Gerrard’s charges went down 2-1 to West Ham last Sunday, while Arsenal lost 2-0 against Liverpool in midweek.
Villa have improved massively under Gerrard and will hope to consolidate a top-half finish this term.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are desperate to secure a top-four finish and return to the Champions League next season.
Both sides had embarked on winning runs prior to their defeats last time out.
Villa had won three in a row, while Arsenal had secured five consecutive top-flight wins.
Arteta has found himself under criticism on multiple occasions during his tenure in the Arsenal dugout.
However, the Gunners are looking much better now, boasting a spine of impressive young players who are playing exciting and solid football.
“Credit to the coach and his coaching staff”
Gerrard is happy the Arsenal hierarchy has given Arteta time despite so many bumps in the road so far.
The Villa boss also spoke highly of how the Gunners have improved defensively and on set pieces.
“He’s come through a couple of periods where the pressure was certainly on him and his team,” Gerrard told the Villans .
“You’ve got to give people at Arsenal credit for supporting him, backing him and giving him the time to stamp his identity and philosophy on how he wants the team to play.
“With that time and with that support, they’ve grown, improved and got better. Now, they’re showing everyone what a consistent and strong team they can be.
“They’ve got some real top talents within the team. Defensively, they’ve improved. Set-piece wise, they’ve improved. Credit to the coach and his coaching staff.”
