The 35-year-old has played in 12 matches for Rangers this season, with the Gers winning all but one of those games.
Davis has 117 caps for his country and it proving a useful asset in Gerrard’s set up.
On Sunday he paired up nicely with Ryan Jack and in a 4-2-3-1 system, the duo complement each other just nicely.
The likes of Kent, Hagi and Morelos deserve credit for their attacking quality and that is a given.
Davis, however, is a professional individual and his maturity and discipline in midfield have allowed such attacking qualities to thrive.
Gerrard’s lynchpin is looking every inch the unsung hero of their current good form.
