Steve Cook disappointed with Harry Wilson’s loan away from Liverpool
Bournemouth defender Steve Cook has expressed his disappointment over Harry Wilson’s latest loan move away from Liverpool.
The winger is spending the 2020/21 season with Cardiff City, after the Reds failed to offload him permanently.
It is thought Liverpool wanted £20 million for Wilson (), but suitable offers were not forthcoming.

The 23-year-old is now with the Bluebirds for what is his fifth loan move of his career, and his ex-Cherries teammate Cook believes he is unfortunate to have dropped down to the Championship.
: “I was disappointed for him because I felt like he deserved to stay in the Premier League. He’s a top quality player so Cardiff have been very shrewd in bringing him in.
“I’m hoping that he doesn’t have too much of an impact on Wednesday, he hasn’t played a lot of football recently so we’ll see how that goes.”
TBR’s View – Wilson unfortunate to be where he is
It does feel slightly strange to see Wilson back in the Championship.

He didn’t pull up trees consistently for Bournemouth, but arguably just about showed he is good enough to play in the Premier League.
Although he’ll be pleased to be playing regularly, it is a shame he’s back in the English second tier and it’s seemingly because Liverpool’s asking price was simply too high.
