Stephen Warnock heaps praise on Liverpool youngster Harvey Elliott after debut

Former Liverpool defender Stephen Warnock was keen to praise Reds yꦕoungster Harvey Elliott after the teenager made his debut for his new employers in last night’s 2-0 victory over Milton Keynes Dons.

As per , Warnock was impressed with the former Fulham man who made the switch to Merseyside this summer and offere♋d a first glimpse of what he can do.

He : “Maturity way beyond his years. The first time I saw him play at Liverpool, often you🎐 see youngsters who take too many touches but he’s pinging things in, one touch round the corner, 𝄹clever play. This guy is full of confidence.

“Very unfortunate not to score late on, he can be delighted with his performance. When you’re in and around the first team and you’ve got sဣenior players helping you along, they’ve got to take that onto the pitch. It comes from the players.”

TBR’s View – How does Elliott force his way into this Liverpool team?

Liverpool have had no shortage of quality talents coming through the ranks in re👍cent years; 🤪Ben Woodburn, Harry Wilson and Rhian Brewster to name a few.

The question for these players is how they break into a Liverpool first team that is just going from strength to stre𒐪ngth right now.

There’s no rush for a player like Elliott of course, but plotting a route into the ಞstarting eleven on a regular basis is likely♐ his end goal.

It’s tough to see where the weakness is🐲 in this Liverpool midfield right now, but with the likes of Adam Lallana and James Milner not getting any younger, perhaps patience will𒐪 be the name of the game.
