Stan Collymore says he’s ‘really excited’ by who Tottenham have signed
Tottenham Hotspur are up and running in the summer transfer window and the likelihood is that they’re just getting started.
The Lilywhites have improved in Ange Postecoglou’s maiden season at the helm, securing a spot in the Europa League.
However, there is still work to do with regards to improving the overall quality and strength in depth of the Tottenham squad.
Spurs have done well in the market in recent years, beating the likes of Bayern Munich and Barcelona to Radu Dragusin and Lucas Bergvall.
And this summer, Tottenham have managed to get their hands on one of the most exciting young players in England.
Stan Collymore, writing on , has welcomed the signing Spurs have made, admitting he’s “really excited” about the player’s future at N17.

Stan Collymore buzzing as Archie Gray joins Tottenham
The player in question is Archie Gray, who has joined Tottenham from Leeds United on a six-year deal, while defender Joe Rodon has gone the other way.
The 18-year-old registered 52 appearances in all competitions under Daniel Farke in what was his first full season at first-team level.
Collymore believes Gray is the “right player” for Tottenham, who in turn are the right club at the right time for the young midfielder.
“Archie Gray is already nearing a half century of performances at just 18, so he will know what he’s about as a player,” wrote Collymore.
“He’s a big lad as well, six foot two, and he’s only going to get bigger, stronger and more versatile in the next two or three years.
“I think he will go on potentially and play for England, though he’s eligible for Scotland as well.
“Personally, I think it’s a great move. I’m a massive fan of Tottenham, the way that their Academy has done things etc…
“Archie Gray and his family are all Celtic fans and love Ange, so I’m really excited.
“I think it’s the right player, the right move, the right club at the right time and I think that he will get opportunities to play.
“The world’s his oyster.”
Gray likely to get game time at Spurs early on
Gray is one of the most exciting young players in the country. Indeed, he’s arguably the biggest English talent since Declan Rice.
Tottenham have done well to swoop on and sign him ahead of Brentford, who very nearly got a deal over the line.
With Spurs set to play in the Europa League next season, there are more games for Gray and other top talents to potentially take part in.
