Spurs remain in pursuit of a new manager ahead of the new Premier League season.

Tottenham sacked Jose Mourinho in April and, two months on, still haven’t landed a permanent replacement.

A multitude of managers have been linked with the Spurs reins, and two apparently came close to signing up.

Both Antonio Conte and Paulo Fonseca were apparently closing in on the Tottenham job, but talks fell through.

Now, Spurs are apparently talking to Nuno Espirito Santo, .

The outlet also claims that Graham Potter and Steven Gerrard remain in contention.

Pundits have also been talking about the Tottenham manager search.

On Friday, talkSPORT pundit Ray Parlour threw a name in the hat – that of Rafael Benitez.

“Would Spurs try to get Rafael Benitez?” he said ().

“They would probably give Rafael Benitez more money to spend.”

Former Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino praised Benitez back in 2013 amid criticism at Chelsea.
