Report: Spurs target Marcel Sabitzer wanted by Roma; Mourinho could make his move
Reported Spurs target, Marcel Sabitzer, is wanted by Jose Mourinho and Roma despite his long-term links with the North London outfit.
Sabitzer has been on the radar of Spurs for some time now, with claiming a few weeks back that the Austrian is on Fabio Paratici’s list.
The interest from Tottenham stretches back some time, however. Sabitzer was a target while Jose Mourinho was in charge, and now the new Roma boss could look to stump his old club.

Sabitzer has developed a reputation for himself in the Bundesliga in recent seasons. Known as a box to box player, the 27-year-old has been key for RB Leipzig in their rise.
He is believed to be available for around £21.4m this summer. That price is a dip from his value last summer, where Leipzig were said to be demanding closer to £40m.
Upsetting the apple-cart
It was only going to be a matter of time before Mourinho tried to muscle in on a Spurs signing. And it looks like the time has come with Sabitzer.
Of course, Spurs haven’t actually put a concrete bid in as yet. But if they do, it seems Mourinho is lying in wait to pounce himself.
Marcel Sabitzer would be brilliant for Spurs and Roma. He has power, energy, and ability with the ball to perfectly compliment Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.
At £21m or so, the Austrian would be something of a bargain and a bit statement signing if Fabio Paratici can get it done.
