Wales may be on a high right now after their dramatic win against Belarus, but Spurs star Ben Davies has come in for some criticism for his display.
A Gareth Bale hat-trick saw Rob Page’s men come from 2-1 down to win. The decisive goal came right towards the end of stoppage-time.

The win leaves Wales in a strong position in their World Cup qualifying group. They are one point behind second place Czech Republic with two games in hand.
But they would have perhaps expected to secure a much more comfortable victory against Belarus.
Certainly, some of their players struggled on Sunday. And one of those who has come in for criticism is Davies.

.
“Normally a rock solid seven or eight for Wales, this wasn’t one of his finer games in the red. Gave the ball away too often and seemed to be dragged down to a level on this occasion he is normally way above,” .
Stats tell a different story as Ben Davies receives low rating following Wales win

According to their stats, Davies won five tackles and 10 aerial duels. No player could better his tally of successful challenges.
Meanwhile, no Welshman won more than three aerial duels. So that would hint at a much more dominant performance.
It has not been the easiest start to the campaign for Davies.
is yet to feature for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side in the Premier League. He has been an unused substitute in all three of their games.
He has played in the Europa Conference League. But he has not been able to get some real momentum going.
