Spurs should consider fresh Djed Spence bid amid Danny Rose reports

Tottenham Hotspur appear to now have a chance of offloading Danny Rose in the final hours of the window, that Middlesbrough want the left-back on loan.

From the outside, it would appear that Rose has made his final appearance for Spurs. He spent the latter half of last season out on loan. And he has not been given a squad number ahead of this campaign.

Unfortunately for Rose, many of the clubs he may have hoped would come forward with bids can no longer sign him until January.

Nevertheless, it does now appear that he could still seal an exit.

That is because that Boro want Rose – who earns £60,000-a-week, – on loan. It is not clear whether there is scope for a deal to be done, or whether it will prove a rumour that little more is said about before the window shuts.

But if Neil Warnock is, indeed, keen to land Rose, perhaps Tottenham could use that interest to launch a bid of their own in the final hours of the window.

that Spurs were monitoring Djed Spence. The 20-year-old has made an incredibly bright start to life at the Riverside Stadium.

“He does have enormous ability”

that Boro were resigned to losing Spence. Once again, Tottenham were listed as one of his admirers.

Admittedly, Jose Mourinho’s side look strong at right-back. Matt Doherty arrived in the summer, while Serge Aurier stayed in North London.

But Spence looks to be one for the future. Warnock previously claimed – – that he boasts enormous ability and it would be criminal if he did not get right to the very top.

With that in mind, perhaps Tottenham should look to use Middlesbrough’s interest in loaning Rose to see if that could open the door for a late move for the youngster.
