‘Things might not work out, but…’: Spurs sensation wants to stay at Tottenham for 15 more years

If there’s one young player who Tottenham Hotspur fans can’t wait to see more of in the first team, it’s Dilan Markanday.
The 20-year-old is one of the finest talents Spurs have produced in years. There is no doubt in any Tottenham fan’s mind that he will be a star for the club soon, and the youngster has vowed to not go anywhere else.
Markanday, born in Barnet to Indian parents, sat down for an interview with this week and Spurs fans will absolutely love his comments.
He was asked about his ambitions for the future and he boldly claimed that he wants to stay at Tottenham Hotspur for the next 15 years.
Dilan Markanday: I want to stay at Tottenham for the next 15 years
The 20-year-old : “The dream is to play for Tottenham for the next 15 years, playing every game, but obviously I know things might not work out and there are going to be ups and downs, but all I can control are the controllables and things will work out for the best.
“Being around the first team has made me want it even more. It has made me hungry and I want to be in that environment every day for the next 15 years.
“Growing up in north London in Barnet, Tottenham has always been so close to home, I went to a lot of their games when I was younger. It has always been a club that I have massively loved, so to be now part of it and coming through the academy has been a great feeling.”

TBR View:
Markanday seems keen to stay at Tottenham until the end of his career, which is great news for Spurs fans. He is a phenomenal talent and he is destined for great things in the coming years.
Tottenham’s attack is a deadly one with Harry Kane and Son Heung-min. Lucas Moura and Steven Bergwijn are fantastic players too, but they’re both a level below Spurs’ two superstars up top.
Markanday, who can play on the wing as well as in attacking midfield, could make a real impact there soon. It may not happen this year, but as Jose Mourinho once said, his ‘day will arrive‘, and when it does, he could become Tottenham’s next big star.
