Spurs predicted XI vs Dinamo Zagreb: Vinicius, Dele and Bergwijn start

Tottenham Hotspur return to Europa League action on Thursday when they host Dinamo Zagreb in the first-leg of their last-16 tie.

It is going to be a really intriguing team selection from Jose Mourinho. Of course, Spurs would love to take a positive result into the second-leg, but he will also factor in Sunday’s North London derby when he picks his side.

With that in mind, it seems more than likely that a number of changes will be made. In fact, our – very tentative – prediction is for nine new faces to come in.

The two players who may keep their place from the win over Crystal Palace are Hugo Lloris and Davinson Sanchez. Lloris started the first-leg in the previous round.

Meanwhile, Sanchez was the player who did the press conference on Wednesday. So, while that may not mean anything, that is normally an indicator that a player will start.

The rest of the back five consists of Japhet Tanganga, Eric Dier and Ben Davies. The likes of Matt Doherty and Sergio Reguilon may be rested ahead of the derby.

In midfield, Moussa Sissoko and Tanguy Ndombele – who earns £200,000-a-week, – may replace Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Harry Winks. Again, having Hojbjerg fit for the weekend seems crucial.

Carlos Vinicius may come in for Harry Kane. And he may play in front of a three made up of Steven Bergwijn, Dele Alli and Erik Lamela.

It is a gamble to make so many changes. But it is still a team that is strong enough to beat a Dinamo side who have been in superb form lately.

With that in mind, here is how Spurs may look on Thursday…
