Spurs predicted lineup vs Everton: Kane, Bergwijn and Winks all start

Tottenham Hotspur have been handed one of the tougher FA Cup fifth round ties, with Jose Mourinho’s men set to travel to face Everton on Wednesday.

Spurs go into the game in a much better place than they would have done had it taken place a week earlier.

Tottenham ended their three-match losing streak on Sunday. Harry Kane and Son Heung-min got the goals in a 2-0 win over West Brom.

It was a huge boost to welcome Kane back from his ankle injuries. And Mourinho may be wary of handing the striker another start so soon after his comeback.

However, Kane will surely want to play if he feels okay. And given the quality of the opposition Spurs are coming up against, Mourinho may be reluctant to rest all of his best players.

With that in mind, Son may also start. Steven Bergwijn – who earns around £73,000-a-week, – may also return to the lineup following the superb performances of Lucas Moura and Erik Lamela at the weekend.

Harry Winks could feature in midfield alongside Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

In defence, Matt Doherty, Joe Rodon and Eric Dier may return. Joe Hart meanwhile, may continue his run of starts in this competition.

However, players such as Hugo Lloris, Toby Alderweireld and Carlos Vinicius must be holding out hope that they will be involved. It will also be very interesting to see if a gamble is taken on Gareth Bale.

It is difficult to know what direction Mourinho will go in. This is, by far, Tottenham’s toughest challenge in the competition so far. So while there may be changes, it would be no surprise if several important players also featured.

With that in mind, here is how Spurs may line up at Goodison Park…
