Spurs predicted lineup vs Everton: Alderweireld and Lamela start

Tottenham Hotspur have a fantastic opportunity to put themselves right back in the mix for the top four ahead of the weekend when they face Everton on Friday night.

Jose Mourinho’s men are looking to bounce back from a couple of disappointing results. And they return to the ground where they played out an FA Cup classic on their previous visit.

Arguably, Spurs’ best performer on that night was Erik Lamela. And perhaps Argentinian may be in contention to make his first Premier League start since February.

That may mean Giovani Lo Celso coming out of the starting lineup.

The 25-year-old is still building up his sharpness after returning to the fold last month. And Mourinho may opt to take him out of the team given the length of time between these two games.

Another change may come at the heart of the defence.

In truth, Mourinho may be wary of making another centre-back change. So perhaps Eric Dier will keep his place.

However, it seems that the fans want to see Toby Alderweireld back in the team – particularly after their latest result.

Maybe Mourinho may now feel the same.
