Spurs fans react on Twitter to Tanguy Ndombele display vs Rennes
A number of Spurs fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Tanguy Ndombele after the midfielder made his first appearance of the season in their Europa Conference League draw with Rennes.
Thursday proved to be a frustrating day for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side. The Tottenham boss picked a strong side for the clash with the Ligue 1 outfit.

Unfortunately, the game seemed to be less than ideal preparation for Sunday’s fixture with Chelsea.
Both Steven Bergwijn and Lucas Moura seemed to be forced off with injuries. And few of those brought in managed to stake any sort of claim for a spot in the team this weekend.
One player who did impress many of the supporters however, was Ndombele.

Of course, it has been an interesting time for the Frenchman. He was heavily linked with the exit during the summer.
Obviously, he stayed put. And after finding himself on the bench against Crystal Palace, he was promoted to the starting lineup in Rennes.
He could be criticised for not putting a stronger challenge in in the build-up to Rennes’ first goal.
But he also played a key role in Spurs’ opener, playing a delicious back heel to start the move that ended with Lucas’ effort being deflected in.
‘Absolute class’: Spurs fans react to Ndombele display against Rennes
And several fans insisted that he proved why he must start against Chelsea. Some feel that his potential shortcomings are completely outweighed by the quality he provides going forward.
He is a potential game-changer. And Spurs fans clearly feel that he is a must for Sunday’s team sheet.
Here is how some of the supporters reacted to his display…
