Spurs fans react on Twitter to Serge Aurier’s display in 4-0 win
A number of Spurs fans have taken to Twitter to laud Serge Aurier after the right-back produced an outstanding performance as Tottenham beat Sheffield United in emphatic fashion on Sunday.
Aurier went into the game with the Blades with a real point to prove. It was the right-back who needlessly gave away the free-kick that Manchester City scored from to win the Carabao Cup final last weekend.

Of course, a superb performance against Paul Heckingbottom’s men was never going to silence all of his critics. But he could have hardly done more to impress.
Spurs beat Sheffield United 4-0. Gareth Bale will rightfully steal many of the headlines for scoring a stunning hat-trick. But Aurier certainly managed to make a major impression.

He set up the opener with a delicious assist, and he created Bale’s third with a brilliant run infield.
, no player managed more key passes than the 28-year-old. But he was also defensively sound.
And that prompted plenty of Spurs fans to take to social media to laud the Ivorian – who earns £70,000-a-week, .
Obviously, there are few supporters getting carried away. Unfortunately, Aurier has shown that he cannot be completely relied upon to avoid mistakes.
But when he is on form, he is an outstanding right-back for Tottenham as he proved on Sunday.
With that in mind, here is how some of the Spurs fans reacted to his performance…

Bale has been brilliant, but Aurier been class. Dier & Toby been solid as a rock. However, I thought was superb in there, fluidity of his game made us attractive going forward. Liked it.

Bale will get MOTM but the real one is Aurier. Big performance today 🙌🏼
