Spurs fans react on Twitter to Marcel Sabitzer’s Champions League display and assist
A number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to implore their club to follow up on their reported interest in Marcel Sabitzer following his latest Champions League display this week.

And within two minutes of the kick-off in the Bundesliga side’s clash with Manchester United on Tuesday, he had shown exactly why Tottenham have him on their radar.
Sabitzer collected the ball just inside the visitors’ half. He then dribbled towards the right channel before producing an outrageous through ball around the defence.
It appears that the pass may have been meant for Emil Forsberg. But that is arguably what makes the assist all the more impressive as it continued to evade the Manchester United backline as it made its way to the back post to be smashed in by Angelino.
It was ultimately a fantastic night for Julian Nagelsmann’s men. Their 3-2 victory saw them qualify for the knockout stages at their opponents’ expense.
And for many Spurs fans, it appeared to be the night that helped convince them that adding Sabitzer to their ranks in January would be a masterstroke if at all possible.
