Spurs fans react on Twitter to Jose Mourinho’s Toby Alderweireld comments
A number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to react after seeing Toby Alderweireld training again, and to Jose Mourinho’s comments – – suggesting that he could feature in the North London derby this weekend.
Alderweireld has been superb in recent weeks alongside Eric Dier. However, he picked up an injury during the win against Manchester City last month.

, Mourinho initially suggested that the Belgian was set to miss around two to four weeks. That obviously made him a major doubt for the clash with Arsenal.
However, Alderweireld has handed Spurs a major boost. Mourinho has now suggested that while he is not available to face LASK on Thursday, he could be in contention to feature at the weekend.

“He has a chance,” he said, . “Not for tomorrow, he’s not even an option, he’s not ready for tomorrow. But in his process of recovery, he’s doing very well and there’s a chance that he plays.”
Unsurprisingly, the comments have gone down incredibly well amongst Tottenham fans. His partnership with Dier in the weeks before his injury had been a huge success.
‘What a boost’
Spurs have conceded one Premier League goal in their last five.
Joe Rodon enjoyed a promising full debut for the club at the weekend. However, Alderweireld looks to have been back to his best in recent times. So having him back for Arsenal would clearly be fantastic news.
Here is how some of the Tottenham fans have reacted to the positive update…
