Spurs fans react on Twitter to Harvey White’s display

A number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Harvey White’s display as Jose Mourinho’s men booked their spot in the fourth round of the FA Cup.

It appeared to be something of a no-win tie for Spurs. Anything less than an emphatic victory over Marine had the potential to be deemed a failure for the visitors.

But Tottenham were excellent. The game was put to bed before half-time with Carlos Vinicius bagging a hat-trick and Lucas Moura scoring a stunning free-kick.

Alfie Devine made it five after the break with a superb finish.

Devine was just one of the youngsters to shine in the comfortable win however, with White looking hugely impressive on his first start for the club.

The 19-year-old was picked alongside Moussa Sissoko in midfield. And he vindicated Mourinho’s faith with an excellent performance.

, no player completed more passes than the teenager. He looked composed throughout the contest.

And while Spurs fans would have been wary of getting carried away given the opposition, there is no doubt that White looked as impressive as any of the internationals he was playing alongside – even if his finishing appears to need a little work.

Plenty have backed White for an incredibly bright future, with many hopeful that he is going to get more opportunities during the remaining months of the season.
