Spurs fans react on Twitter to Gareth Bale’s display at West Ham
A number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to comment on Gareth Bale’s display in Spurs’ Premier League clash with West Ham United.
Jose Mourinho’s men suffered their third straight league defeat on Sunday. They conceded early goals in both halves. And despite Lucas scoring a superb header just after the hour-mark, the visitors were unable to find an equaliser.

Bale was under a little pressure after being introduced at half-time. He replaced Erik Lamela, who had arguably showed more intent than any other Tottenham player during the first-half.
But he vindicated Mourinho’s decision. He looked extremely lively, causing plenty of problems for the West Ham defenders.

It was his cross that allowed Lucas to score the goal that set up a dramatic finish. And he came agonisingly close to scoring a stunning equaliser when his volley from the edge of the box smashed into the crossbar.
Plenty of Spurs supporters have taken to Twitter to laud Bale’s display. There have been a few more signs in recent weeks that the Welshman is starting to find his form in North London once again.
And several fans insisted that he was Tottenham’s best player after being introduced at the break. There certainly appears to be a sense that Bale should be handed more starts moving forward as he starts to look a lot more like the old Gareth Bale.
With that in mind, here is how some of the Spurs fans reacted to Bale’s performance at the London Stadium…
