Spurs fans react on Twitter to Carlos Vinicius reports
A number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to react to Carlos Vinicius’s future in North London.
It has been an interesting season for the 25-year-old. He has scored six times in the Europa League. But he is yet to open his account in the Premier League.

In fact, he has only been given one start in the top flight. So it probably comes as no surprise that Spurs are hoping to hold talks with Benfica at the end of the season.
As noted by the Daily Mail, the two clubs reached an agreement that left Spurs with the option to buy the striker permanently for £36 million.
However, the report claims that Tottenham have now told his parent club that they are not going to trigger that option. But that does not necessarily mean that the forward will leave in the summer.

that Daniel Levy is prepared to pay £17 million for Vinicius. It remains to be seen however, whether Benfica are prepared to accept that sort of amount.
The good news is that the report has attracted a positive reaction on social media amongst Spurs fans. Several have admitted that they would not have been happy if Tottenham decided to pay £36 million to keep him.
However, they do believe that he could be a very good signing at the lower figure. He has shown glimpses of his quality during his time in England. And they have suggested that he could be a very shrewd addition if Benfica accept Levy’s reported terms.
Here is how some of the fans have reacted to the reports…
The only reason I didn’t want us to buy Vinicius is because of the 36mil price tag. If we can bring it down then I would gladly take him

Regardless of whether they can agree on a reduced price, doubt Vinicius will be willing to stay. He should be in his prime with regular playing time, why would he want to be a bench warmer for us.

For £17m I would, but only if Jose wants him. And if he really liked him he’d have used him a lot more by now so I don’t believe any option will be exercised even at a reduced fee.

That would be a good deal

Good price really but they’ll never sell

Anything under 20m for a striker in his prime who is willing to sit on the bench is a good deal
— Josh (@josh_wiggan)
20 million and it’ll be a class deal. Definetly not worth 36m tho icl
— Chase (@ffsxchase)
If Tottenham can try and lower the price like they did with Gio then that makes sense.
Been very good for Spurs when needed.

Typical Daniel
