‘Jose effect’, ‘couldn’t believe it’: Some Spurs fans hail £50k-a-week man’s ‘class’ FA Cup display
A number of Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to praise Harry Winks’ display in Spurs’ FA Cup fourth-round victory on Monday night.
Jose Mourinho’s charges ran out 4-1 winners away at Wycombe, but were made to work hard for their victory after falling behind.
Fred Onyedinma gave the Chairboys a shock lead in the 25th minute, but Gareth Bale equalised in first-half stoppage-time.

Both sides were still level going into the latter stages of the game before a late, late salvo from Tottenham spared their blushes.
The ball fell to Winks 20 yards out, and the ace calmly shifted onto his left foot and sent a curling effort into the top corner of Wycombe’s net in the 86th minute
Tanguy Ndombele then made it three almost immediately after and added a second deep into stoppage time.
Winks had only scored two goals in his first 151 appearances for Spurs, but now has two in his last night.
And plenty of Tottenham fans were pleased to see him look more dangerous going forward, praising him on social media:
Starting to improve going forward which we need

Jose said it in the interview. Winks is looking for the forward pass alot more instead of the sideways pass.
He had a crazy burst of pace in the first have from half way to the edge of their box with the ball I couldn’t believe it lol— THFC NABIL (@JgNabil)
having to earn his mins is making him a much better player, same happened to serge when doherty joined

I think Winksy played really well today. I feel he plays much better in a slightly advanced role. When Højbjerg came in, it set Winks free to link up play and make him shine. Was a bit deeper in the first half, with Sissoko often advancing up the pitch.

He’s been excellent lately. He’s looking to pass forwards now, not sideways
