Spurs could sign attacking talent Pedro Porro has deemed ‘extraordinary’ for just £17m
Tottenham Hotspur are being linked with a number of attacking players ahead of the summer transfer window.
Even though Spurs bolstered their attacking ranks in January with the initial loan signing of Timo Werner, there’s always score to sign more players.
If Tottenham make it into the Champions League or Europa League, they’ll need more strength in depth if they are to compete on four different fronts.
Now, a report from Portugal has spoken about a player Spurs have been linked with for a long time, and claimed they could sign him for less than £20million.

The player in question is Marcus Edwards, whose career has gone from strength to strength after leaving Tottenham’s youth ranks.
According to , Spurs and Crystal Palace ‘remain vigilant’ over the Sporting Lisbon winger, and the club apparently wants no less than £17million.
For a Premier League club, that sort of fee is a bargain, so you’d think that Tottenham wouldn’t be put off by this valuation in the slightest.
Who is Tottenham Hotspur target Marcus Edwards?
Tottenham had Edwards in their ranks and, as a youngster, he was tipped for a huge future in the game.
For instance, Mauricio Pochettino the youngster to Lionel Messi and backed him to potentially become a top player.
Meanwhile, Spurs defender Pedro Porro – who played alongside Edwards at Sporting – has called him “extraordinary”.
However, Edwards ended up making just one senior appearance for the north Londoners, subsequently joining Portuguese outfit Vitoria de Guimaraes.
From there, the 24-year-old went on to Sporting Lisbon, and he has made a name for himself as one of the Primeira Liga’s top stars.
In September 2022, Sporting boss Ruben Amorim told : “Marcus is a very talented player.
“He’s one of the best players for playing between the lines. He took a little while to adapt to the Portuguese lifestyle but he has so much talent. He can get much better.”
Amorim continued: “He can even get to the English national team. He has to focus more on training and all that is around it. Football is not just matches, it’s everything in between.
“I trust him a lot. I know he can grow a lot. He has a long way to go but I think we did excellent business in signing him.”
