League leaders tell Spurs they want ‘fantastic’ N17 player on loan – report
Tottenham Hotspur winger Steven Bergwijn has been linked with a loan move away from Spurs ahead of the January transfer window.
The Tottenham attacker has struggled for game time this season, registering just 11 appearances in all competitions.
Bergwijn has only made three Premier League starts and two Conference League starts too.

The 24-year-old was Jose Mourinho’s first signing at Tottenham in January 2020, scoring on his debut against Manchester City.
He started the first three league games of the season, but following an ankle injury layoff, hasn’t been able to force his way back into the starting XI.
Bergwijn has played 62 times for Spurs so far, but he has only scored four goals.
Could Spurs offload “very talented” player?
Nuno Espirito Santo rated the Dutchman highly, saying in September: “He’s a very talented player… unique inside our squad.
“He has things that really can really help us. He’s fantastic in 1v1, offensive, he’s fast, he gives us speed.

“He gives us… We need Stevie. I repeat myself: we need Stevie.”
However, since Antonio Conte’s arrival, he has got 13 minutes of game time.
Eredivisie tabletoppers Ajax are reportedly eager to offer Bergwijn a route out of Tottenham.
And according to , they’ve made contact with Spurs and registered their interest over a potential loan.
Joining Ajax would enable him to get game time whilst not strengthening a Premier League rival.
And come the end of the season, Conte would be able to make a concrete decision over Bergwijn’s long-term future at N17.
