‘Special’ player has decided he wants to leave Arsenal this summer with three Premier League clubs keen

A host of Arsenal players are facing uncertain futures at the Emirates Stadium as Mikel Arteta prepares to bolster his squad this summer.

It’s no secret that Mikel Arteta is targeting reinforcements after narrowly missing out on the Premier League title last season.

If Arsenal are to topple Manchester City, extra quality will be required in key areas, including across the frontline.

Arteta has lacked real depth out wide over the past couple of years while the Gunners are also said to be keen to land a striker this summer.

Should fresh attacking options arrive, it will undoubtedly lead to some departures after Mohamed Elneny and Cedric Soares have already left on free transfers.

And according to , one of Arsenal’s forward players is keen to move on for regular first-team football this summer.

Reiss Nelson favours Arsenal exit this summer

Reiss Nelson has struggled for minutes under Arteta and started just one game in the Premier League last season.

The winger was handed a few opportunities in cup games and racked up 14 appearances from the bench in the league.

However, CBS Sports reports that Nelson favours a move away from north London this summer and isn’t short of interest from Premier League sides.

Indeed, Crystal Palace, West Ham and Brighton & Hove Albion are all long-term admirers of the Englishman.

Nelson move makes sense

With Arsenal likely to upgrade their attacking options this summer, Nelson’s exit would make sense for all parties involved.

The 24-year-old will surely be keen to play more regularly while Arsenal could pick up a decent fee for their academy product. 

Lauded as a ‘’ player by Arteta, it’s no real surprise that Nelson isn’t short of interest in England. 

He enjoyed a promising loan spell at Feyenoord during the 2021/22 campaign but his return to north London hasn’t exactly gone as planned.
