Southampton goalkeeper Angus Gunn excited to face former club Norwich this season
Southampton goalkeeper Angus Gunn is looking forward to lining up against his former employers Norwich City in the 2019/20 season.
, Gunn gave a far-reaching interview and is clearly looking forward to the campaign ahead under Ralph Hasenhuttl.
He : “They haven’t even bought it [promotion] because they’ve spent under £5 million, so it’s unbelievable. It will be interesting to go back there and it’s going to be an experience I will enjoy.
“You obviously look at the big games and when you go away to the big teams, but I’ll definitely be looking for that game. Going home and seeing some familiar faces will be a really nice feeling.”

For Gunn, 2019/20 will be about navigating his way to the front of the queue past the host of English goalkeepers Southampton have.
He’s the most promising option but the Premier League is an unforgiving place for a young goalkeeper still learning his trade.
He’s got all the skills to kick on this season, perhaps even earning senior England recognition in light of the fact that current Three Lions second choice Jack Butland plays in the Championship with Stoke.
Southampton showed their faith in Gunn by splashing out a () £13.5 million on him last summer and he will hope to prove them right this term – even when he travels back to Norwich.
