Southampton can pull off coup if they beat Tottenham to Joe Aribo
Charlton Athletic midfielder Joe Aribo is ready to leave the club and is attracting a lot of interest.
, Aribo’s availability has alerted Eintracht Frankfurt and Benfica, while Derby County, Southampton and Tottenham Hotspur remain keen.
With his contract expiring in the summer, Aribo can negotiate pre-contract terms with foreign clubs in January.
Charlton offered the former Staines Town man a long-term deal last summer but have since withdrawn that and replaced it with a deal offering half as much money, .
Insulted by the club’s actions, Aribo is ready to force an exit with his contract coming to an end.
And Southampton could pull off a major coup if they win the busy race for Aribo’s signature.

The 22-year-old is a box-to-box midfielder who has been a standout performer for Charlton for some time now.
With 11 goals in 78 senior matches for the Addicks, the youngster is a goal threat from midfield and he can also create chances for team-mates.
His style of play has even been compared to Spurs star Dele Alli by former boss Karl Robinson, .
Regardless of whether Southampton are playing Premier League or Championship football next season, Aribo would be an exciting signing.
The London-born midfielder is a talented prospect and he will only get better with more game time.
But the Saints will have to compete with big club Tottenham and the lure of the Bundesliga, which is said to tempting Aribo next summer.
