Souness makes big claim about form of Tottenham star Harry Kane

Graeme Souness has told that Harry Kane is playing the best football he has seen from the Tottenham Hotspur striker following Spurs’ brilliant win over Aston Villa.

Antonio Conte’s men have seized the initiative in the top-four race in the Premier League. Tottenham now have a three point advantage over Arsenal after winning their last four games.

Their latest victory came on Saturday as Tottenham beat Aston Villa 4-0. The scoreline may have flattered the visitors somewhat. But there is absolutely no question that Spurs were absolutely devastating in the final third.

Son Heung-min got to keep the match ball by scoring a hat-trick. Meanwhile, Dejan Kulusevski continued to impress by scoring the crucial second goal at the start of the second-half.

Kane did not get onto the scoresheet at Villa. But he did manage to provide a hat-trick of his own, providing the assists for the first three goals.

While he did not know a lot about the first, there is no doubt that he was outstanding. In fact, Souness suggested that he has never seen the Tottenham talisman in better form than he is at present.

“I think Harry Kane, since he came back, he had a disastrous start by his standard, he’s quickly becoming a player, you’d pay to just watch him play,” .

“I think his football at this moment, is the best I’ve seen from him. Okay, he won’t be entirely happy because he’s not got a goal, but his game is just superb.”

Harry Kane being given a big reason to stay at Tottenham

Of course, Kane’s form is only increasing the likelihood of a club making a bid this summer. However, it is surely also showing why leaving Tottenham this summer may be a mistake.

Spurs are progressing rapidly under Conte. And Kane is forming an amazing understanding with Kulusevski as well as Son.

There is a real opportunity for Tottenham now, as long as Kane stays.
