‘Somebody very reliable saying’: Journalist claims Newcastle could sign ‘top quality’ centre-back by Monday

﷽Since then, Newcastle have struggled somewhat to get a third signing over the line.

♊However, multiple reports have been claiming Bruno Guimaraes is on the verge of joining.

ಌOne story that dragged on and is now seemingly finished is the Diego Carlos to Newcastle saga.

𝕴At the last count, the Magpies bid £30m for the Brazilian, but Sevilla wanted around £38m.

🌄Newcastle reportedly didn’t want to pay that much and subsequently decided to look elsewhere.

🏅Admittedly, the Carlos to Newcastle saga dragged on and, for many fans, they just wanted to see the back of it.
