Some Wolves fans buzzing as they could land reported Arsenal target on loan

A number of Wolves fans have reacted to speculation claiming reported Arsenal target Renato Sanches could potentially join Molineux on loan.

According to , Wolves are in talks over the Lille and Portugal midfielder.

Sanches has also been linked with Mikel Arteta’s Gunners in recent weeks.

Tuttomercatoweb claimed Arsenal begun talks to land the 24-year-old earlier this month.

But now, speculation seems to suggest Sanches is likely to play in old gold instead of red and white.

Although Sanches is currently recovering from a knee injury, Wolves are apparently hoping to finalise a deal before the transfer deadline.

And Wolves fans are excited about the prospect of the talented playmaker turning out for them:

Wolves and Arsenal target Sanches – the story so far

Sanches burst onto the scene in 2015-16 with Benfica, helping them to a domestic double.

He then made the Portugal squad for Euro 2016 and helped his nation win the tournament.

Sanches moved to Bayern Munich that summer, but his time at the Allianz Arena sadly wasn’t the most fruitful.

While on their books, he also spent the 2017-18 season on loan at Swansea, then in the Premier League.

However, Sanches was far from his best that year and failed to make much of an impact for the Swans.

After three years on Bayern’s books, he became Lille’s record signing, and his career took off once again.

Indeed, Sanches helped Christophe Galtier’s side win their first Ligue 1 title in 10 years last season.

The playmaker then featured at Euro 2020, playing in all four games for Portugal as they reached the last 16.
