Some West Ham fans were lauding Declan Rice for his performance in England’s win over Germany.

The midfielder faced a torrid start to the game, vacating his midfield space within two minutes and fouling Leon Goretzka just outside the box. He even earned himself a yellow card inside the opening 10 minutes of the clash.

However, the Irons midfielder steadily improved as he helped the Three Lions pull off a shock win.

The made more tackles and interceptions than any one of Gareth Southgate’s team.

He ended the game with the second-highest pass accuracy rating of any Three Lions player.
