Some West Ham fans blast BBC Pundit for harsh TOTW omission

After seeing Shearer’s selection of Alexander-Arnold, many West Ham fans expressed their anger as they felt Ryan Fredericks should have been acknowledged instead.

The Englishman produced arguably his finest display in West Ham colours since joining the club last summer.

Not only did he have an amazing game defensively, the full-back also bagged his first Premier League goal for the club.

Fredericks was so good at the London Stadium, that respected football statistics website . He is the first defender since Thomas Vermaelen way back in 2009 to achieve such a feat.

Shearer’s snub for Fredericks incensed a number of Hammers supporters, who felt that the Newcastle legend must not have watched their game against Southampton closely enough.
