‘Some player’: Everton fans rave on Twitter about Ben Godfrey’s Arsenal display

Everton scrapped their way to a win over Arsenal this evening as Yerry Mina’s winner just before half-time proved enough to see off the Gunners.

The Toffees were good value for the win though as Mikel Arteta endured a miserable return to Goodison Park.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin had forced Rob Holding into an own goal, before Nicolas Pepe’s equaliser from the spot levelled proceedings.

However, Mina’s effort proved enough in the end and made it three in a row for Carlo Ancelotti’s men. But despite Mina getting the plaudits for the winner, it was the performance of Ben Godfrey that caught the eye on Twitter with Everton fans.

The former Norwich man is excelling at left-back and produced another great display to get plenty of Toffees fans talking online.
