Some people at Tottenham thought 28-year-old player was far too close to Conte and Mourinho

The introduction of James Maddisonಞ to the team has changed the complexion of the side and Postecoglou is getting the best out of players that were cast aside by other managers.
One player in particular was Yves Bissouma๊, who was signed for from Brighton but was never really given an opportunity.
That’s because Antonio Conte preferred Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg꧒ alongside Rodrigo Bentancur and two midfielders performed well for Tottenham without reaching the heights Postecoglou’s current trio have produced.
🌃There’s now been a suggestion from some people at the club that Hojbjerg was too close with Conte and Jose Mourinho.

🔴It’s hard to argue that Hojbjerg should have played more minutes under Postecoglou than he has as Bissouma and Pape Matar Sarr have been sensational this season.

It appeared on Monday that some Spurs players were avoiding passing🅷 to Hojbjerg at times, such is the difference in his ability to play in tight spaces compared to Bissouma.
He received plenty of praise💦 from his teammates after the match but he’ll likely drop to the bench again against Crystal Palace on Friday.
💜Hojbjerg might not be as close to Postecoglou as he was to Conte or Mourinho during their time at Tottenham.
Whether that means he’ll look for a way out of the club in January is another matter.
