‘Some of the games’: Ryan Fredericks now makes claim about West Ham atmosphere ahead of Bournemouth match

Defender Ryan Fredericks will be returning to West Ham United for the first time tomorrow since leaving the club in the summer.

His Bournemouth side make the trip to the London Stadium as they look to continue their fantastic start to the season.

The full-back admitted that West Ham’s atmosphere was ‘’ at times during his four-year stint at the club.

The right-back joined West Ham from Fulham on a free transfer in 2018.

He established himself as first choice in his second season at the club, but was eventually replaced by Vladimir Coufal.

His contract expired in the summer, but despite barely playing in the Premier League last season, he earned a move to newly promoted Bournemouth.

Fredericks was very complimentary about the atmosphere at West Ham ahead of his return, especially in the Europa League.

West Ham atmosphere is ‘unreal’ – Fredericks

“I think West Ham have top fans.

“Some of the UEFA Europa League games were some of the best atmospheres I have ever played in.

“Sevilla and Lyon at home were massive occasions. It was an unreal atmosphere.

“When the lads give the fans something to get behind there are not many better stadiums in the Premier League.”

West Ham will be looking to return to winning ways tomorrow after earning one point from their last two league games.

New signing Flynn Downes could retain his place in the starting line-up after impressing David Moyes against Liverpool.

The form of striker Gianluca Scamacca is going to have a big impact on West Ham’s success this season.

Moyes believes he’s ‘beginning to show his worth’ at the club, and he already has six goals in all competitions.

Fredericks will be looking forward to experiencing the West Ham atmosphere once again.

However, he’ll be hoping his new side can silence the London Stadium with their performance tomorrow.
