Some Newcastle fans react to Solskjaer comments on Tuanzebe
Some Newcastle United fans have reacted after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer commented on Axel Tuanzebe.
What’s the story?
Tuanzebe played the full 90 minutes as the Red Devils drew 2-2 with newly-promoted Brentford.
It had been claimed the Red Devils would be willing to let the 23-year-old leave on loan this summer after the side agreed on a deal for Raphael Varane.
Steve Bruce’s side are reportedly in ‘pole position‘ to complete a deal for the player, who is ‘delighted’ with the team’s interest.
The DR Congo-born ace played just 19 times last season as he struggled for game time. And Solskjaer confirmed the defender is set for a loan move in his post-match press conference last night.
When talking about Tuanzebe, : “Of course, with Raphael coming in, I can see Axel going out [on loan], because I have Varane, Maguire, Lindelof and Eric Bailly and Phil Jones is coming back in.”

Tuanzebe deal as good as completed
You would imagine a deal for Tuanzebe is as good as completed for Newcastle following the comments from Solskjaer.
Bruce’s side have been one of just two clubs seriously linked with the centre-back. Reports they are in ‘pole position‘, coupled with Solskjaer’s comments, make a move to St James’ Park fairly imminent.
You feel as though it is a big coup for the club.
Having worked with Bruce before, Tuanzebe should settle in fairly quickly when he arrives. However, it is his display against PSG last year that will really get the supporters bubbling with excitement.
Here is how some Newcastle fans reacted to the latest reports…
