Some Liverpool fans are saying the same thing about Rhys Williams after U23s goal

Liverpool fans couldnโ€™t help but notice something about a goal defender Rhys Williams scored for the U23s at the weekend.

Barry Lewtasโ€™ side were in action at Kirkby against Chelsea on Saturday in PL2 and ran out 3-1 winners, with goals coming from Williams, Jake Cain and Liam Millar.

There was to be one consolation goal from the penalty spot for the Blues, but no comeback as the Reds youngsters took all three points.

Lewtas said of the performance (): โ€œOur football was really good, especially in the first half. We got control of the game, scored the goals, created some other good chances as well and I thought we were a real threat and played the game in their half.โ€

The result saw the young Reds go above Everton in the table, and itโ€™s Arsenal up next on Friday night.

One man whoโ€™ll be looking for another strong performance is Williams, who came in for particular praise on Monday after the club Tweeted out a replay of his goal.

And the way he took it, it was impossible not to think of a certain first-teamer.

Cainโ€™s corner was gloriously met by the 6ft 5in Williams, who powered home his header into the top corner.

Wearing the number four shirt, some Liverpool fans couldnโ€™t help but suggest the youngster looked like currently injured star Virgil van Dijk:
