Some Everton fans laud Godfrey after defender’s ‘superb’ display against Wolves
Some Everton fans were lauding Ben Godfrey for the defender’s performance in the Blues’ 1-0 win over Wolves last night.
The Englishman enjoyed a fantastic display as he proved to be a rock at the back for his side, making the second-most tackles and the second-most clearances. In terms of his passing, the right-back was incredibly reliable, completing 75% of his attempts
Godfrey has proven to be a sensational acquisition for the Goodison Park outfit since his move from Norwich City last summer. He earned praise from his manager, Carlo Ancelotti, who backed his defender to earn an England call-up.
Everton’s win over Nuno Espirito Santo’s men has strengthened the team’s chances of qualifying for Europe next season with Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United lost their respective games.

The defender’s staggering start to life in Merseyside has been quite sensational and his performances at the back have been a contributing factor to their away form.
