Some Aston Villa fans were begging Dean Smith to bring Bertrand Traore on in Leeds United loss
Aston Villa have suffered their first defeat of the Premier League season, following a 3-0 loss to Leeds United at Villa Park.
After a fairly even first-half, in which both clubs had chances and attacked with purpose, Leeds took complete control in the second-half and ended up running away with the win after an inspired display from Patrick Bamford.
The frontman missed two great chances in the first-half but had no such bother in the second, scoring all three of Leeds’ goals to secure all three points.
It was a disappointing performance from Aston Villa and Dean Smith will be shocked with the display from some of his players.

Indeed, it is hard to find any positive takes from Aston Villa fans who were following the game on social media.
But one man who was getting some appreciation from Villa fans was Bertrand Traore.
The summer signing from Lyon was starting on the bench but for much of the game Aston Villa supporters were begging Smith to bring on the Burkina Faso international for the underperforming Trezeguet on the right-hand side.
Eventually they got their wish bit, with the damage done, Traore struggled to have any impact on the game and his lack of defensive ability actually ended up unbalancing Smith’s side even more.
However, if given a chance to start and against a team where he might have less defensive duties, Traore looks like a player Aston Villa fans want to see plenty more from.
Gimme some Traore action Villa come on

Traore now. Need something extra in the final 1/3

Now is the perfect time to get Traoré on

Traore please. Need some flair in the final third now. First time we’ve trailed this season… need goals.
— Jacko (@Jackodotcom)
Need to be proactive now, get Trez off and give Traore a proper run out instead of the last 10 mins. Trez has been poor tonight.

I would bring traore straight on for 2nd half..
— Terry reid (@terryreid2)
Leeds shaded the half but good game – need to get hold of the midfield out wide. I’d have Traore on for Trez but I can still see us winning this 1-0. Be happy with a point.

Can see Trez coming off for Traore.
Traore is a maverick and unpredictable would give backline a rough time.
