Some Arsenal fans want club to sign ‘insanely gifted’ Valencia ace – it’s not Carlos Soler
A number of Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to comment on a player they want the Gunners to sign from Valencia – but not reported target Carlos Soler.
A report in claims that Soler is high up on Arsenal’s wishlist, despite having signed a new contract at Los Che just before Christmas ().
In addition, the 23-year-old’s new deal is thought to contain a €150million (£140million) release clause, but that seemingly hasn’t put the Gunners off making a move for the Spaniard.
The report claims that Arsenal have already laid out the groundwork by registering their interest to Valencia before the January window and will revisit the interest in the summer.
With regards to the huge release clause, the Gunners are believed to have drawn up a list of players they could sell in order to raise funds, including Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette and Matteo Guendouzi.
Some Arsenal fans have been discussing the report, but rather than Soler, there seems to be more interest in his teammate Ferran Torres.
The 19-year-old winger has very much been overshadowing Soler in the Valencia team this season and is deemed one of the brightest prospects in Spain, with a €100million (£85million) release clause amid reported interest from Real Madrid ().
A scouting report from says the following about Soler: “At 6ft tall, Torres is tidy in possession, his large frame allowing him to bear down on full backs with a menace. Also, technical quality and his use of both feet makes him unpredictable.”
