Some Arsenal fans think the club might’ve accidentally unearthed ‘the next Martinez’
A number of Arsenal fans have praised Gunn🧸ers academy defender Taylor Foran for his impressive performance on his Under-23s debut in incredibly bizarre circumstances.
Arsenal’s U23s headed to Manchester City for a Premier League♍ 2 fixture o🍃n Saturday afternoon, but could only name three substitutes, with no goalkeeper amongst them.
The Gunners took the lead on six minut꧋es through debutant Nikolaj Moller, but then, disaster struck.

Goalkeeper Karl Hein was sent 💖off for rushing out of the box and bringing down Lukas Nmecha, leaving the referee with no choice but to send him off.
With the game not even 10 minutes old, Steve Bould had to bring on an outfielder from the subs’ bench to 𒉰man the G൩unners goal.
Foran went on and, despite not💞 being a goalkeeper, put in an admirable performance, making numerous smart saves.
Man City ♏were always likely to win and by a heavy margin, but i🐈n the end, a 4-1 defeat doesn’t tell the full story – it could’ve easily been 8 or 9, but Foran really did well in the circumstances.
Players changing position is not a👍t all uncommon at academy level, and some fans reckon the 17-year-old centre-back could potentially be converted into a goalkeeper, so good was his displꦐay.
Here is what some Arsenal fans said about Foran:
Start of a legend, e💝xpecting him to overtake seamans legacy
