Some Arsenal fans react to reports of Sergio Ramos rejection
Some Arsenal fans were reacting after Sergio Ramos reportedly turned down a move to the club.
According to , the 35-year-old rejected a monstrous £15m-per-season offer from the Gunners. Premier League rivals Manchester City were also turned down by the veteran defender.
Instead, the Spain international chose to move to PSG following the expiration of his Real Madrid contract. He was offered a two-year deal worth a reported £13m a season; £2m less than Arsenal.
The north London giants are also in the market for Ben White. Reports have claimed the Gunners have submitted a third offer for the Brighton ace.
Ramos salary would have caused issues
There is no doubt that Ramos is an experienced player within European football. His career spans 17 years, and five league titles, going back to 2004 when he made his debut for Sevilla.
However, the offer to Ramos would have caused big issues at Arsenal. His age, combined with his current level of quality, begs questions over the staggering offer.
A number of players would have asked questions over their wages compared to the veteran, leaving the club in a perilous position.
The rejection from the centre-back is probably a good thing for the Gunners from a financial standpoint.

Completely false. Ramos was always going to PSG and was preparing for his medical days before the story about “Arsenal’s interest” even surfaced.
