Tuttosport () have claimed Arsenal have submitted a €42 million (£37 million) bid to sign Sampdoria stars Joachim Andersen and Dennis Praet.
The Gunners are keen to put their Europa League failure in Baku behind them and start tending to their squad ahead of next season.
With Arsenal having missed out on Champions League football, it is thought that their base transfer budget is only around £40 million.
And it appears as though the club are willing to use all of that on Sampdoria pair Andersen and Praet, who both stood out in 2018/19.
Tuttosport state both have been scouted ‘extensively’, and that the Serie A outfit would be open to selling for around £44 million.

Certainly Andersen, who has been linked with north London rivals Tottenham Hotspur, is a player with huge talent and promise.
He could be a fantastic addition to Arsenal’s leaky defence.
Central midfielder Praet is seemingly the potential replacement for Aaron Ramsey, but his four goals and seven assists in 106 games for the club aren’t particularly encouraging.
Fans appear to be sold on the idea of youngster Andersen joining, but several aren’t so keen on seeing his Belgian teammate at the Emirates Stadium:

I really like Joachim Andersen. He’d improve out defence instantly. A tall, physical, ball play centre back who is also good aerially. He’s young (23) so he’s got age on his side.
Praet is a decent player but there are better options out there. Don’t think we should go for him.

Andersen has always been one of my favourite young CB’s. Quality ball playing defender, would welcome with open arms.

Joachim Andersen is a hell yeah for me! In terms of Praet, I like him but I think we can get better given the broad amount of midfielders available. Fornals, Eggestein, Palacios are better options in my opinion.
