Some Arsenal fans react to Fabrizio Romano’s update on player ‘good as Ceballos if not better’
A number of Arsenal fans have welcomed Fabrizio Romano’s update on Gunners loanee Matteo Guendouzi.
The 21-year-old is spending the 2020-21 campaign with Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin after falling out of favour with Mikel Arteta.
Guendouzi joined Arsenal in 2018 from French outfit Lorient, the Gunners reportedly paying £7million for his services, and has made 82 appearances in red and white.

However, he was frozen out at the Emirates Stadium in wake of an incident with Brighton striker Neal Maupay towards the end of their Premier League clash in June.
To date, Guendouzi has made 15 appearances for Hertha – all in the league – scoring twice and assisting once.
According to a report in from December, as translated by , the Berlin club is interested in signing the Frenchman permanently.
However, Romano claims the Gunners are still open to Guendouzi returning and winning a spot in Arteta’s starting XI.
“They appreciate the talent, they appreciate the player,” he told YouTube channel.
“They were thinking like he should be a starter, not just one of the midfielders. When a player comes back, lot of situations could change. Arsenal are open with Matteo.”
Guendouzi is a talented young player with plenty of opportunity to progress, something he’s certainly been doing at Hertha, and could have plenty to offer Arsenal or any other club.
Needless to say, plenty of Gunners fans are happy to hear that their club appears willing to give him another chance:
If he gets on board why not.
The talent level has always been absurd- questions only ever were raised in relation to his attitude & ability to realize the boundless potential.
Lovely to see Arteta so open. Can’t lie always loved the player-love a redemption arc even more.

The man is a quality player. Needs to add professionalism and he’s set.

He’s as good as Ceballos if not better. He’s got that “extra” attitude needed in some games but needs to know when to turn it down.
