Arsenal fans have already been left fearing the worst after Emiliano Buendia’s debut for Aston Villa last night.

Arsenal look away

Arsenal lost out in the race to sign Buendia to Villa over the summer, with Mikel Arteta’s side ultimately not pushing as hard to sign the playmaker as the claret and blues did.

But it did not take long for Buendia to show Arsenal what they were missing, and catch the eye for his new club.

Buendia masterclass

Buendia will, of course, face tougher tests than playing against Walsall in the Premier League.

But his incisive passing already looks like it could make Villa considerably more of an attacking threat this season.

Arsenal, meanwhile, are still on the hunt for their new number 10.

Arsenal have been linked with Leicester City’s James Maddison since missing out on Buendia, but any deal could be expensive.
