Plenty of Arsenal fans gave their thoughts on social media:
His always been amazing in those types of games, back against the wall. He shines in chaos

Arteta needs to eat humble pie and get this man back at Arsenal
— MartinelliStan (@ArsenalStan35)
No. He needs to develop himself at Berlin then come back next summer.

Happy for the lad but he hasn’t performed like that for us since he initially arrived. Arteta didn’t like his discipline hence why he shipped him off.

I guess this is why Arsenal loaned him out. He didn’t really do these kinds of things for Arsenal, but it’s obvious that he is taking his loan-spell and his captaincy the right way. Hope it works out between him and Arteta 🙏🏼

Very impressive maturity and selflessness when setting up Kolo Muani’s 3-1 goal!
— Maxi (@MaaxiAngelo)
If we sell him I swear to god, regardless of our results I’d be arteta out
